My research asks how the design of means-tested programs — where eligibility thresholds are set, how steeply benefits phase out, what conditions attach to receipt — shapes household behavior, and how that design should be chosen. I address these questions using quantitative life-cycle models with a rich set of heterogeneity. I will be on the job market in 2026–2027.
